(KLZA)-- Weather permitting, the Nebraska Department of Roads says work is scheduled to begin on Highway 67 in the Shubert area this week.
The resurfacing project will begin at the junction with Highway 62 and go north to just south of the Little Nemaha River. The project also includes work on Spur 64E into Indian Cave State Park, beginning at the junction with Highway 67 and ending at the entrance to Indian Cave State Park.
Knife River Midwest, of Sioux City, Iowa, has the nearly $2.4 million contract.
Traffic will be controlled by one-lane work zones, using a pilot car and flaggers.
The project is anticipated to be completed in the fall.
