(KAIR)--An ATV wreck in Atchison County over the holiday weekend sent one to the hospital.
According to a report from the Atchison County Sheriff's Office, Melissa Lyn Clowers was northbound on Rawlins Road Monday night when she attempted a u-turn. The Sheriff's Office says loose gravel caused her to lose control of the Polaris Sportsman 550 ATV, which overturned.
Clowers and a passenger, Justin Pettis, were thrown from the vehicle.
Clowers was taken to the Atchison Hospital by EMS for treatment of what Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie describes as non-life threatening injuries to her head. Pettis refused medical treatment.
The wreck happened around 8:15 Monday night.
