One Arrest Follows Tuesday Shooting
12/30/2015

(KMZA)--A Tuesday afternoon shooting in Pottawatomie County sends one man to the hospital and places another in custody.

Sheriff Greg Riat says the bleeding victim, on foot, was spotted by a person who lives west of Lake Elbo Road, on Mount Zion Road, who also reported hearing a gunshot.

Rescue crews rushed to the scene around 5:00, with Deputies learning from the victim who shot him. He also told them the name of a woman he was with in the suspect's car.

She was found for questioning, and Deputies then located the suspect.

Taken into custody was 18-year-old Dakota Blake Flair, who was arrested at his Louisville residence.

Booked into the Pottawatomie County Jail, Flair is facing an attempted murder charge.

The victim's name is not immediately made public, but Riat says he was flown to a Topeka hospital for treatment.
