Nemaha Co Commission Approves Purchases

(KMZA)--The Nemaha County Commission has approved two new equipment  purchases. 

The Commission Monday approved the purchase of a new mower for the County’s Noxious Weed Department. 

The Commission accepted a bid from Seneca Implement for a 3810 Bush Hog mower a cost of $10,000 with trade-in of a 2012 3710 Bush Hog mower.  Bids were received from two companies.

The Commission decided to purchase a new mower after Noxious Weed Director Todd Swart said it would cost about $1,800 to repair the department's current mower.

The Commission last week approved the purchase of a new skid loader for the county landfill, accepting a bid from Bruna Implement Company for a 2016 Case SV280 at a cost of $10,800 with the trade-in of the county’s current loader.   Bids were received from three companies.

 Also last week the Commission signed a contact with Jackson County for the replacement of a bridge on the Nemaha-Jackson County line on Y Road.
Nemaha County will be responsible for 52.5 percent of the cost.
