12/15/2015

(KLZA)-- The Auburn City Council Monday night approved the purchase of a new pumper truck for the Auburn Volunteer Fire Department. The cost of the truck will be $258,639. The new pumper truck will replace the current truck which has a cascade air tank system.  The truck will be ordered from the Rosenbower company, in South Dakota which submitted the only bid for the new truck. The truck will be built and should be delivered in about a year.

The current fire truck will be sold to help pay for the new truck which came in about $8,000 more than was budgeted for.
