A late Wednesday afternoon, two vehicle Jackson County crash, left two hurt.
Sheriff Tim Morse says it happened when a car, driven southbound on U.S. Highway 75 by Alexus Beaman, was attempting to turn left onto 262nd Road. When making the turn, the car struck another vehicle, driven by Karlene New, that was stopped at the intersection waiting to turn onto the highway.
New had to be extricated from the wreckage of her vehicle, and, once freed, was transported by Jackson County EMS to Holton Community Hospital.
Beaman was also transported by EMS, taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Topeka.
