(KLZA)-- The 37th Annual Eagle Days event will be held this weekend at Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge near Mound City.
Saturday hours are 9 a-m to 4 p-m and Sunday hours are 10 a-m until 4 p-m.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at Squaw Creek host the annual event with the Missouri Department of Conservation; Dickerson park Zoo from Springfield, Missouri; Remington Nature Center from St. Joseph and many volunteers.
Activities during the two-day event include live, captive eagle programs provided by the Dickerson Park Zoo in the refuge maintenance building at the top of each hour. There will be free guided bus tours or you may drive through the refuge on your own.
The eagle viewing stations will be manned by volunteers who will help you with spotting scopes to see the eagles up close.
In addition there will be special eagle exhibits in the refuge Visitor Center and an eagle video will be shown in the auditorium.
