(KNZA)--A Jackson County pursuit ends with a crash, and lands a Fort Riley man in jail.
Arrested was 30-year-old Christopher Lee Cronin. He's currently held in the Jackson County Jail on charges including felony flee and elude, driving under the influence, and driving while suspended.
Sheriff Tim Morse says it unfolded shortly before midnight Thursday, when a Potawatomi Tribal Police Officer attempted to stop Cronin's car in the area of 150th and Q Road suspecting that the driver was intoxicated.
The vehicle sped off westbound on 150th Road and Jackson County Deputies arrived to provide assistance.
The pursuit continued east on 150th, and came to an end when the Ford Escape drove through a road closed sign, rolled onto its side and landed against a tree.
Cronin was extricated by emergency responders and transported for evaluation at a local hospital. Once he was released, Cronin was booked into jail.
Also assisting with the case was Jackson County EMS, along with the Potawatomi Tribal, Mayetta and Hoyt Fire Departments.
