New Hangars Under Construction At Atchison Airport

 (KAIR)--New hangars are currently under construction at the Atchison Airport, replacing those that were destroyed during a storm last summer.

City Manager Trey Cocking says that Bottorff Construction is working to erect the prefabricated buildings after taking delivery of them last week, and the new buildings are a definite improvement over the previous hangars. He says they are “a little bit bigger and much better doors. These have bi fold doors versus slide out doors, so...don't have a problem with wind, ice, snow, that effected those problems and caused them to...get damaged. These fold up out of the elements so its a much better door mechanism.”

Cocking says he believes constitution should be completed within the next two to three weeks.
