(KNZA)--Horton City Commissioner Lawrence “Al” Barton has died.
Barton died Tuesday at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City at the age of 68.
Barton had served as Parks and Recreation Commissioner since October 2012. He also served on the city’s Parks and Recreation Board.
Services for Barton will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the First Christian Church in Horton.
The Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton is in charge of the arrangements.
Barton is survived by his wife, Diane, along with two sons.
