(KLZA)-- Two people were injured in a wreck involving a semi-truck and a Ford Fusion late Monday afternoon in northwest Missouri west of Eagle Road and Burlington Junction on U.S. Highway 136.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, both vehicles were eastbound when the car driven by 42-year old Heather Young of Mound City attempted to turn north into a private drive and was struck from behind by the semi, driven by 51-year old Stacy Tudor of Fairfax, Missouri. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.
Young suffered minor injuries and her 8-year-old daughter Devan Young suffered moderate injuries. Both mother and daughter were transported by the Nodaway County Ambulance to a Maryville healthcare facility.
Tudor was not injured. All involved were wearing safety devices.
