ROCK PORT, Mo. - Traffic has been head-to-head in the southbound lanes of Interstate 29 as contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation redecked the northbound bridge.
Beginning Thursday, October. 22, traffic will be moved head to head on the new northbound bridge so the contractors may redeck the southbound bridge. Motorists may experience delays while the change is being conducted. All planned traffic changes are weather permitting.
During the work on the southbound bridge, the ramp from Route 111 to southbound I-29 will also be closed. Message boards will be in place to warn motorists of the upcoming ramp closure.
Work on the southbound bridge is currently scheduled to run through mid to late December.
Motorists should always be alert and follow all construction signs and message boards. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
