Applications for Seneca Police Chief Narrowed
10/13/2015

(KMZA)-- The field of applicants for the position of Seneca chief of police has been narrowed.

City Administrator Matt Rehder says seven applications were received for the position by Friday’s deadline.

Rehder says the employee committee has narrowed the field of applicants down to 3-4 for interviews, which are planned this week.

The committee will then recommend a candidate to the City Council for appointment to the position, which could come at their October 21st meeting.

Brent Schulte, who had held the position for nine years, resigned effective September 25th to take a job as an investigator with the Kansas Lottery.
