There will be a Field Day/Cover Crop meeting on Thursday, November 5th hosted by Bill Buessing at the Axtell American Legion.
There is a $10 registration fee by October 20th for lunch catered by Aces Cafe. Registration begins at 8:30AM and the workshop begins at 9:30AM.
Keith Berns will talk about his cover crop experience and his cover crop plots he has planted since 2008. Chris Teachout has been using spring and fall planted cover crops in his corn and soybean rotation. And, Bill Buessing uses cattle in his cover crop rotations.
NRCS and Tuttle Creek WRAPS will talk about programs available for producers. There will then be a cover crop plot tour. Dress according to the weather.
