Fundraiser Held For Atchison Cancer Patient
10/09/2015

(KAIR)--An Atchison resident, suffering from breast cancer will have a little extra financial help, thanks to the money raised at a fund raising event held at a local business today Friday.

Mo-Kan Concrete, along with Concrete Cares, an organization dedicated to fighting breast cancer, held the event to raise money for 27-year-old Megan Langly, who is currently receiving radiation treatments to fight her breast cancer.

Mo-Kan Concrete owner Debbie Betts, says that Langley could use the assistance as “she had to take off work, she had to take a leave of absence from work. So she can really use some more help.”

Just over $1,600 was raised by the end of the day Friday, and Betts says she will continue to take donations at Mo-Kan during regular business hours, and hopes to get the money to Langley by late next week.
