(KAIR)--Atchison-based MGP Ingredients has named a new Vice-President of Production and Engineering.
He is Steve Glaser, who joined MGP in 2011 as plant manager of the Atchison facility, and has served as Corporate Director of Operations since 2014.
He succeeds Randy Schrick, who is retiring from the role effective December 31st, following 42-years with MGP. Prior to his departure, Schrick will transfer his current responsibilities to Glaser, then maintain a relationship with the company through an exclusive multi-year consulting arrangement.
In a press release issued by MGP, Glaser says he is “deeply honored, grateful, and humbled by the opportunity to follow in Schrick's footsteps,” and calls Schrick a fine mentor and an outstanding leader.
MGP President and CEO Gus Griffin says MGP is fortunate to have someone with Glaser's “broad range of experience to help lead [the company into its] next phase of growth.”
In his new role, Glaser will support MGP's long-term growth plans by assuming leadership of all production and engineering activities.
