(KLZA)-- Mound City will be getting a makeover, just in time for the start of fall.
That comes through the recent approval of the Mound City Aldermen to hold a clean-up day in the city.
It's set to happen on Saturday, October 10th at the City Pool parking lot.
It's there that two roll-offs will be available, with one to be used in the collection of iron and the other for garbage. A compactor will also be set up on site in case it's needed during the trash collection process.
The clean-up event is scheduled to run from 1 until 3:00 that afternoon.
The city leaders are also moving forward on street patching and sealing in Mound City. Mayor Chris Kruger informed his fellow council members that they, as a whole, will need to assess the streets and decide which are in the worst condition. That list would then be narrowed down to the amount budgeted to make the repair work a reality.
