Air Force Airman Tyler A. Theno graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Theno is the son of Scott Theno of Tonganoxie, Kan., and Malinda Theno of Winchester, Kan., brother of Colby Theno and Andrew Gritz of Greeley, Colo., and grandson of Johanna and Leroy Gritz of Winchester, Kan. He is also the brother of Ryan Theno.

The airman graduated in 2014 from Jefferson County North High School, Winchester, Kan.
