OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Crops and trees have been damaged along with some buildings by a storm that lashed much of southeast Nebraska.
The National Weather Service says a storm chaser reported a tornado around 3:30 p.m. Monday about 6 miles southwest of Fairbury. Hail the size of tennis balls damaged a roof and windows of a house in the area and beat down on farm fields. No injuries have been reported.
Another tornado was reported about an hour later near Barneston in Gage County and still another was reported moving into Marshall County, Kansas, which borders Gage County.
The weather service has not confirmed the tornado reports.
Up to 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes was reported in Adams and 1.75 inches in less than an hour in Wilber.
