Humboldt Woman Pleads Not Guilty to Felony Charges

(KLZA)-- 32-year-old Jennifer Stutheit of Humboldt entered a plea of not guilty to six felony counts of second degree forgery in Richardson County District Court this week.

A jury trial has been scheduled for November 17th.  Bond was continued in the case. 

MSC News learned from sources the alleged crimes occurred while Stutheit served as the Clerk of the Village of Dawson. The charges allege she wrongfully procured or intended to procure funds by use of a written instrument.  Five of the charges involve more than $1,000 with the sixth charge alleging the amount was between $300 and $1,000. It is alleged the forgeries took place between October 28, 2014 and April 8th, 2015.
