(KNZA)--A Hiawatha man accused of hitting another man in the face with a hammer in July has pleaded no contest to a charge of aggravated battery.
Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill says 22-year-old Devin Hall entered the plea Monday in Brown County District Court to the felony charge.
Sentencing was set for October 5th.
Hall is charged with assaulting Robert Neubauer on the evening of July 29th in the 100 block of Utah Street in Hiawatha.
Neubauer was transported to the Hiawatha Community Hospital for treatment of injuries and released. Hall was arrested a few blocks away.
He’s currently free on bond.
