(KAIR)--The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced that the next phase of the U.S. 73/K-7 road reconstruction project in Leavenworth has started.
According to a release from KDOT, phase seven of the project started Monday, one day ahead of schedule. During this phase, eastbound and southbound U.S. 73/K-7 from 16th Street to Tenth Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction with no access from the side roads.
Phase seven is tentatively scheduled to be completed in mid October, weather permitting.
Phase eight, which covers Tenth Street to Seventh Street, is tentatively scheduled to start on September 14th.
