Holton Students Earn Ag Honors
08/29/2015

(KNZA)--Holton USD 336 is among seven school districts statewide receiving recognition by the Kansas Department of Agriculture.

That's due to students in the district being awarded with the department's Kansas Agriculture Skills and Competencies Certificate.

A total of 24 students from the seven districts are receiving the honor.

It's awarded to those students who have demonstrated excellence in their agriculture education programs and completed requirements in three agriculture education areas of classroom instruction, supervised agricultural experience learning and leadership development through FFA. Students are also required to have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in all school courses.
