Jackson County Judge Suffers Heart Attack

(KNZA)--Jackson County District Judge Michael Ireland remains hospitalized after suffering a heart attack Wednesday in the Jackson County Courthouse.

County Commissioner Robin Ladner told the Topeka Capital Journal that Ireland was taken to a Topeka hospital, where at last report he remained in the intensive care unit.

 Ireland was appointed to the Second Judicial District in 2006.  Prior to that, he served as a private practice attorney and as Jackson County Attorney.
