Two Teens Hurt In Jefferson Co Crash

(KNZA)--Two teenagers suffer injuries in a single vehicle early Sunday morning crash in Jefferson County. 

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Jonathan Henney, of Valley Falls, was behind the wheel of a pick-up truck eastbound on 126th Road, seven miles northeast of Ozawkie, when the truck left the roadway and collided with a power pole. 

Henney and his passenger, 17-year-old Andrew Dake, of Oskaloosa, were both transported by Jefferson County EMS to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. 

According to the Patrol, the teens were not buckled up when the wreck happened around 12:45 Sunday morning.
