(KNZA)--A Hiawatha man accused of sex offenses involving two children has pleaded no contest to charges.
Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill says 46-year-old Ross Bruce entered the plea Friday in Brown County District Court to two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, as originally charged.
Sentencing has been set for August 31st.
Hill says Bruce faces a sentence ranging between 55 and 247 months in prison, depending on his criminal history. Bruce will be subject to lifetime post release supervision and lifetime registration as a sex offender.
His bond was revoked.
Bruce was arrested in April following an investigation by the Hiawatha Police Department into alleged sex offenses involving a child born in 2004 and a child born in 2009 spanning about a six year time period.
