LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Officials say Beatrice Concrete Co. has been bought by Lincoln-based Nebco Inc.
The deal closed Saturday. Financial terms are not being disclosed.
Nebco President Bob Nordquist says the Beatrice Concrete name won't change and its employees will be on Nebco's payroll "going forward, and it will be business as usual."
Officials at Beatrice Concrete declined to comment on the sale. The company was formed in 1944 and has about 95 workers at facilities in Beatrice, Crete, Fairbury and Tecumseh.
Nebco has about 1,000 employees and 21 companies under its ownership umbrella. It supplies construction materials to other companies and has interests in mining, highway and road construction, finance, real estate development, agriculture, transportation, recreation, railroading and warehousing.
