(MSC News)--A man is hospitalized with serious injuries after being shot in the head in St. Joseph's Midtown Thursday afternoon.
Police say the shooting happened around 4 p.m. at a duplex on South 19th Street near Edmond.
KQ2-TV reports a person drove up to the home and shot a man, then drove off. Police are trying to determine what prompted the shooting.
When police arrived, they found the victim with severe injuries.
A person of interest in the case was later arrested in the parking lot of La Petite Academy on North 36th Street without incident.
It's unclear why the suspect was there.
The person of interest has not been charged.
The victim was taken to Mosaic Life Care with serious injuries.
Police say they will release more on the victim's condition Friday.
