Air Force Guard Airman 1st Class Christopher M. Watkins Graduated

Air Force Guard Airman 1st Class Christopher M. Watkins graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Watkins is the son of Michael Watkins and Janet Nissen, step-son of Stephanie Watkins, and grandson of Karen and Les Watkins of Holton, Kan.

He is a 2013 graduate of Holton High School, Holton, Kan. He earned an associate degree in 2014 from Washburn University, Topeka, Kan.
