(KMZA)--A July 24th preliminary hearing has been set for a Hiawatha woman facing a pair of felony drug charges in Nemaha County.
28-year-old Rita Grier was arrested last week by Brown County authorities on a Nemaha County warrant for distribution of methamphetamine and unlawful use of a communication facility.
According to the criminal complaint, Grier is accused of distributing between 1 and 3.5 grams of meth on or about April 7th of this year and using a communication device to facilitate the transaction.
The charges follow an investigation by the Sabetha Police Department.
Grier was also arrested last week on a felony Nemaha County warrant for giving a worthless check to the Seneca Motel.
She remains in the Nemaha County Jail, with bond set at $150,000 in the drug case and $5,000 in the worthless check case.
