(KAIR)--The Atchison County Sheriff's Department is investigating an incident that took place sometime over the weekend in which a cornfield suffered significant damage.
Sheriff Jack Laurie says it appears that a vehicle drove through the field belonging to Neumann Farms Incorporated at 12059 Sedgwick Road, making several circles, and damaging the crops.
The field's owner valued the damaged corn to be worth approximately $500.
There are no suspects in the case, but the search for leads continues.
