(KLZA)-- Another source of activities this weekend in Falls City will be the Sacred Heart School.
Among the highlights will be a Sunday afternoon celebration of Monsignor Robert Roh’s 50th Anniversary of his Ordination on Sunday. A 10 a-m Mass of Thanksgiving will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. At 4 p-m Sunday a dinner and program that is open to the public will be held at Prichard Auditorium. Mosignor Roh is retiring after serving 27 years in Falls City which included duties as Superintendent of the Sacred Heart School.
The program will also serve as a public welcome for Father Thomas Dunavan to Sts. Peter and Paul Church and as Sacred Heart Superintendent.
A social hour and reunion dinner for Sacred Heart alumni will be held at the Falls City Elk’s Lodge at 6:30 p-m Saturday evening. Saturday morning begins with a test-drive event at the School / Church parking lot from 9 a-m until noon to earn money for the Irish Booster Club; an alumni golf tournament will be held at the Falls City Golf Course with a 9:30 a-m shotgun start.
There will be three opportunities to tour the new Sacred Heart Activity Center; 10 a-m – noon and 2 – 4 p-m on Saturday and then from 1 p-m – 3:30 p-m on Sunday.
