(KMZA)--Two local area residents escape injury in a three vehicle Wabaunsee County Crash Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened on K-99, a mile south of Wamego, when a northbound Mitsubishi Eclipse went left of center and struck an oncoming vehicle, which sent debris flying, which struck a third vehicle.

The two Louisburg residents in the Eclipse were both transported to regional hospitals for treatment of what the Patrol calls disabling injuries.

The driver of the car struck by the Eclipse, 60-year-old Vicki Flattery, of Onaga, was not hurt. Also escaping injury was 81-year-old Dorothy Marie Cox, of Holton, whose vehicle was struck by the debris.

The patrol says only one of the occupants in the Eclipse, 20-year-old passenger Kaytlan Tanner, was not buckled up when the wreck happened shortly before 2:30.

The driver of the Eclipse is identified as 21-year-old Patrick Joseph Arrow.
