Bond Denied for Elwood Woman Charged with Murder
06/17/2015

(KNZA)--Bond has been denied for an Elwood woman charged in connection with the stabbing death of a St. Joseph man in April.

A Buchanan County associate circuit court judge this week denied a defense motion to set bond for 43-year-old Kelli Hoard Reeves.  She waived her right to a preliminary hearing and is scheduled for arraignment next week.

Reeves is among three people charged with second-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Richard Berry.

Berry’s body was found in the Third Fork of the Platte River near Easton, Missouri April 25th.  Authorities believe he was taken to the remote location in a robbery attempt.  Berry was stabbed multiple times and then dumped in the river.
