(KNZA)--The preliminary hearing for a Sabetha man accused of child sex crimes in Jackson County is now set for July 9th.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says the hearing for 25-year-old Daniel Thompson, which had been set for Thursday, was continued at the request of his court-appointed attorney.
Thompson is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
He was arrested last month after the Jackson County Sheriff’s office served a search warrant on his residence following an investigation focused of child pornography and the exploitation of a 16-year-old Jackson County child.
Thompson remains in the Jackson County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
