St. Joseph Museum Hit by Thieves Again
05/22/2015

(KNZA)--A St. Joseph museum has been hit by thieves for a second time in two months.

KQ2-TV reports $8,000 worth of copper wiring was reported stolen from the Pony Express Museum Thursday morning.

Museum officials say the copper wiring was stored in a building next to the museum on Penn Street. The wiring was used to help bring electricity to the museum's famous Pumpkin Mountain every October.

Six rare gold coins were stolen from the museum back in March.

An 80-year-old man has been charged in that theft but the coins remain missing.
