(KLZA)-- Late Friday afternoon, a joint statement from the Falls City Public Schools and Roger Windle was issued.
Windle, an industrial technology teacher at Falls City Public High School, who has been a teacher at the school for 26 years, will return to teach at the school in the 2015-2016 school year.
After being placed on administrative leave for a disciplinary incident involving a student on April 21, 2015, Windle has reached an agreement to resolve the issues related to such incident with the administration at Falls City Public Schools. The agreement enables Windle to focus on improvement of skills in areas deemed appropriate by the administration.
As part of such agreement, Windle, will remain on administrative leave the remainder of the 2014-2015 school year. Windle advises he is appreciative of the support shown to him by the administration, and specifically Superintendent Tim Heckenlively and Principal Gale Dunkhas, as well as the community, parents and students since April 21.
The school district, the administration, and Roger and his wife, Susan, are all looking forward to continuing to provide Falls City students with the best education possible.
During a Nebraska State Patrol simulated crash program at the Falls City High School Tuesday, dozens of students could be seen wearing t-shirts in support of Roger Windle.
