(KMZA)--Preliminary dirt work has begun for the construction of a new 40-unit housing complex in east Marysville.
The new Bulldog Apartments complex, located along South 11th Road, will consist of 24 townhomes and 16 apartments.
Topeka-based Pioneer Group Inc. is the project developer, while Woldkamp Construction, of Topeka, is the general contractor.
Pioneer Group President Ross Freeman told the Marysville Advocate that they expect to have the first of the town home buildings completed by November. The buildings will be available to renters as they are completed.
There will be one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The townhomes will have three bedrooms with attached garages.
75 percent of the units will be available for rent based on income guidelines.
