(KAIR)--A wet roadway is blamed for a single vehicle Johnson County, Kansas rollover crash that sent a Leavenworth man to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 37-year-old Brian Romanowski was westbound on I-435, in Lenexa, when he lost control of his car on the rain-slickened roadway. According to the patrol, Romanowski tried to accelerate past traffic, but that caused the car to roll at least twice in the center median where it struck a pole on the overhead sign.
Romanowski, who was buckled up, was transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The wreck happened shortly after 3:15.
