(KMZA)--Applicants will be sought for a vacancy on the Seneca City Council.
The Council Wednesday evening directed City Administrator Matt Rehder to advertise the vacant 3rd Ward Council seat through the local media. The Third Ward is composed of the area south of Main Street.
Rehder says those interested in filling the vacancy can pick up an application form at City Hall. He says he plans to take them to the Council meeting on May 20th. The Council will appoint someone to fill the seat.
Write-in candidate Jim Ronnebaum won the Council seat during the April 7th election, but turned down the position. It was previously held by Galen Niehues, who didn’t seek re-election.
