(KAIR)--Benedictine College has announced that a former member of the Pontifical Swiss Guard, Andreas Widmer will be the feature speaker for this year's Cray Lecture.
Through his position in the Guard, Widmer had extraordinary access to Pope John Paul II, though after leaving the service, he went on to a successful business career. He is the Chairman of the board of advisors for Boston's Catholic radio station, a Research Fellow in Entrepreneurship at the Action Institute, and an advisor to the Zermatt Summit, an annual business leadership event focusing on humanizing globalization.
Widmer will spend the day at Benedictine, speaking in classrooms, meeting with student groups, and visiting School of Business faculty, as well as the President and his cabinet.
The Cray Lecture is scheduled to begin at 7:00 Friday, April 24th in the McAllister Board Room on the fourth floor of the Ferrell Academic Center. The event is free and open to the public.
