(KLZA)-- An additional felony charge has now been filed against a Falls City teenager arrested last Thursday by the Falls City Police Department.
18-year-old Derrick McCann was arrested Thursday on two felony charges of distribution of a controlled substance which was marijuana. McCann was also cited for possession of one ounce or less of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McCann was arrested in the 500 block of East 16th Street. After further investigation, a felony charge of possession of a firearm at school has been added. Assistant Police Chief Jamie Baker said an officer observed McCann walk to his car in the Falls City High School parking lot and exit the parking lot prior to being stopped and arrested. A rifle was discovered in the trunk of the car which led to the additional charge.
