(KNZA)--A longtime local area civic leader has died.
James “Jim” Leon Enyart was 84 when he died Tuesday.
The Shell Knob, Missouri resident was once a familiar face in the Brown County community of Horton, where he owned and operated the Horton Pharmacy from 1965 until 1991. He also served many years as the Mayor of Horton, and also sat on the USD 430 South Brown County Schools Board of Education, where he served as both President and board member.
Among Enyart's numerous survivors is his daughter, Valerie Tollefson, of Hiawatha.
He will be laid to rest in the Rossville, Kansas Cemetery, where burial, with military honors, will be held Saturday morning, April 4th, at 10:00.
