(KMZA)--Details, regarding the weekend utility terrain vehicle-related death of a 12-year-old Corning girl, are made public.
That comes in the form of a press release Tuesday from the Nemaha County Sheriff's Department.
The statement says Olivia Grossnickle was westbound on 24th Road, just east of K-63 Highway, around 4:20 Sunday afternoon, traveling with her mother, Marsha Grossnickle.
Olivia lost control of the vehicle on loose gravel and overcorrected, causing the UTV to roll into the roadway. Both daughter and mother were ejected, with Olivia transported to the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca, where she was pronounced dead.
Her mother suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Along with her mother, Olivia is survived by her father, Timothy, a brother, Brody, along with her maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as her maternal great-grandmother.
Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, in Corning, with Seneca's Lauer Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
