(KAIR)--An Atchison man was arrested early Wednesday evening following a police investigation into an alleged case of sexual battery.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says the alleged incident took place just after 4:00 Wednesday afternoon at an Atchison residence and involved a 20-year-old female victim. Following the incident, the victim contacted a family member and explained what had happened. The family member then contacted police, and the investigation was launched.
Investigators were able to locate 29-year-old Jason Conley at his residence, in the 1400 block of North Seventh Street, about two hours later.
Conley was taken into custody, and booked into the Atchison County Jail on a charge of aggravated sexual battery.
