(KNZA)--$2,500 for the Hiawatha FFA, following a donation made by Brown County's Tollefson Farms.
The donation was made possible through America's Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.
FFA sponsor KaCee Thompson says the funds will help to offset the cost of FFA activities, allowing more students to be involved with the organization.
The local FFA chapter will also use the funds to help facilitate workshops for elementary and middle school students to learn about food production and to expand the chapter's gardening program.
