John Poff
(KAIR)--An Atchison man, convicted on charges in connection with an assault on a Police Officer, has been sentenced to one year of supervised probation for the crime.
20-year-old John Poff appeared in Atchison County District Court Friday morning where he was sentenced on charges including assault on a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, and battery against a correctional officer.
Poff was arrested in December after Atchison EMS was dispatched to a residence for a report of an unconscious individual. When they arrived, Poff, who had regained consciousness, verbally threatened them and police officers who were assisting.
