(KLZA)-- Three people were injured in two wrecks Tuesday in Atchison County, Missouri.
21-year old Romen Hogan of Tarkio is believed to have suffered a medical condition leading to the crash of his sport utility vehicle about 12:30 p-m on U.S. Highway 59 just south of Tarkio.
Hogan was northbound and his vehicle went off the road and struck a sign and a tree. Hogan was transported to Community Hospital in Fairfax by the Atchison-Holt Ambulance Service.
The Missouri Highway Patrol, Atchison County Sheriff’s Department and Tarkio Police Department all responded to the scene.
About 8:45 p-m Tuesday evening an eastbound Ford Ranger pickup traveled off of 200th Street approximately 4-5 miles west of Tarkio, went up an embankment, struck a tree and overturned onto the drivers side.
30-year old Joshua Smith was driving the pickup. His injuries were described as moderate. Smith was not wearing a safety device. He was transported to the Community Hospital in Fairfax by the Atchison-Holt Ambulance Squad.
A passenger in the pickup, 23-year old Keison Nemyer of Fairfax, was transported to the hospital by private vehicle with what were described as minor injuries. Nemyer was wearing a safety device.
The Atchison County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Missouri Highway Patrol at the scene of the wreck.
