(KNZA)-- A Horton teen convicted of criminal discharge of a firearm and criminal damage to property has been placed on probation.
18-year-old Zebariah Meyers was recently given a suspended jail sentence on the charges in Brown County District Court and placed on 12 months probation.
As part of the terms of his probation, Meyers was ordered to perform 40 hours of community service and pay restitution in an amount yet to be determined. A charge of theft was dismissed.
He was among three Horton teens arrested in December after Brown County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of gunshots in the southern part of the county.
