(KNZA)--A Morrill man convicted on an aggravated assault charge stemming from a shooting in Fairview in October has been placed on probation.
Walter Cole was given a suspended prison sentence Monday in Brown County District Court and placed on 24-months supervised probation.
He was among five people arrested last October following the shooting that caused no reported injuries.
One of the suspects, 17-year-old Hiawatha resident Braiden Guido, fled from authorities after their vehicle was stopped in Hiawatha. Guido was later arrested following a standoff and execution of a search warrant on his home in the 300 block of North 8th Street, where he was found hiding in the attic.
